Following the German government’s approval of the special fund, the next step is to establish the Germany Fund as an umbrella structure for all sector-specific funds. This phase is critical to ensure the timely allocation of resources to drive sustainable economic growth and the long-overdue modernization of Germany’s industrial base. The confidence of domestic and international investors will be essential to the success of this effort. However, meaningful reforms to Germany’s regulatory framework must come first.
At this dinner discussion with State Secretary Dr. Steffen Meyer, we will review the challenges, opportunities, and progress made by summer 2025. Moderated by Denise Feldner, we will explore two key questions: What return can private capital expect from investing in public infrastructure? And how far must we go to reform bureaucracy to meet the demands of the 21st century?

We would like to thank our members Denise Feldner and Dr. Ingrid Hengster as well as FGS Global for the support and hospitality.
