The New Bridge to the US program starts this year with preparatory activities in Berlin, where the participants get to know each other and establish initial transatlantic contacts during meetings. This will be followed by information and discussion meetings with decision-makers from politics, business, academia and civil society as well as visits to institutions in Washington, D.C.. In addition to Berlin and Washington, the fellows will also travel to regions outside the well-known coastal cities and metropolitan regions to discuss current domestic policy issues. This year, the group will travel to Detroit, MI, a city with a rich history of industrial transformation and unionization. A cultural program will round out the trip.
More information on the program will follow.
