Microsoft and Atlantik-Brücke are pleased to welcome their Young Leaders networks to a joint event. As government formation processes near their anticipated conclusion, we invite you to join us for an engaging fishbowl discussion, followed by networking and drinks.

Amidst global uncertainties, the case for transatlantic engagement remains strong. Close collaboration in economic tech policy, cybersecurity, and digital innovation is essential to fostering technological advancements, enhancing economic resilience, and addressing cyber threats. During this evening, together with our experts, we will focus on exploring the following key questions: how will the future of transatlantic relations take shape in light of three pivotal transitions — the new European Commission, the new administration in the United States, and the new coalition in Germany — each bringing distinct priorities and agendas? How can we further support transatlantic ties through trade and business cooperation in the technology sector? What role can digital policy play on both sides of the Atlantic to secure sensitive data?

Speakers:

  • Nooshin Soltani, Cybersecurity and Digital Policy Offier, U.S. Embassy to Germany
  • Armand Zorn, MdB (SPD), German Bundestag (YL 2024)

Moderation:

  • Azadê Peşmen, Journalist, ZEIT ONLINE (NBP 2024)
