On September 30, 2025, the fourth annual Transatlantic Forum on GeoEconomics, hosted by the Atlantik-Brücke, the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center and Europe Center, will convene senior policymakers, business leaders, and experts in Brussels, Belgium to re-imagine US-European coordination and cooperation at the nexus of trade, national security, and technology. The past three conferences have been held in Frankfurt, Berlin, and New York featuring senior leaders from the public and private sector on both sides of the Atlantic.

This year’s conference in Brussels will take place as the European Commission under President Ursula von der Leyen’s renewed mandate and NATO under Secretary General Mark Rutte approach the first year mark. The conference will also feature senior representatives from the Trump administration and private sector leaders from both sides of the Atlantic.

The objective of this year’s Forum is to anchor a US-European relationship beset by headwinds including division over the war in Ukraine, trade tensions between the largest economies in the world, and disagreements over the future of defense and military spending.

The key themes of the conference will be:

  1. Triangulating on Trade
  2. Transatlantic AI and Competitiveness
  3. Funding European Defense
  4. The Dollar and the Euro

The full agenda and speaker line-up will be announced in the coming weeks.
