On October 22, 2025, the most recent edition of our virtual event series “Better Be Prepared” took a look back at past conflict settlements and drew conclusions for the possible settlements for today’s conflicts.
We were happy to welcome two renowned political scientists, Prof. Dr. Nicole Deitelhoff, Professor of International Relations and Theories of Global Order at Goethe University Frankfurt and Executive Director & Head of Research Department at PRIF – Peace Research Institute Frankfurt, and Prof. Stephen M. Walt, Robert and Renée Belfer Professor of International Affairs at Harvard Kennedy School, to discuss the continuities between armed conflicts in the 20th and early 21st century and the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
