Your opinions are an important part of Atlantik-Brücke and our social media presence on LinkedIn, Bluesky, X and Instagram. Your point of view enriches the transatlantic dialogue and allows us to reflect on the issues at hand. We value a constructive and insightful exchange with our community.

When commenting, please remember that you are dealing with real people. So please behave as you would like to be treated.

Moderation Guidelines and Terms of Use

1. Desirable and Undesirable Behavior

Comments that meet the following criteria will not be tolerated on our site:

  • Hate speech, including racism, degradation, belittling, and discrimination against any individual or group – especially on the basis of religion, ethnic origin, nationality, physical condition, sexual identity, age, or gender. Also inadmissible are derogatory remarks about human dignity, slander and defamatory insults.
  • Threats or any incitement to violence against institutions, companies or individuals.
  • Violations of the law of any kind.
  • Demonstrably false statements and conspiracy theories.
  • Off-topic comments or whataboutism.
  • Links to dubious websites or unverifiable sources.
  • Campaigning, petitions, and solicitations of any kind.
  • Violation of privacy rights or disclosure of personal information.
  • Advertising of any kind.

2. Consequences for violations

Our guidelines are designed to ensure that all members of the Atlantik-Brücke community feel comfortable. Please note that we reserve the right to remove comments or posts that violate these basic rules. There will be no discussion about deleted comments.

In the case of repeated or particularly serious violations, we reserve the right to exclude you permanently from participation in the discussion. Criminally relevant comments will be reported to the police – regardless of a ban.

We also reserve the right to change this netiquette at any time at our own discretion.
