“The Business Case for Diversity – Lessons Learned on Pinterest”

In today’s workplace, diversity is more than just a buzzword; it’s a way to build a stronger business. In 2015, Silicon Valley’s Pinterest decided to set public, challenging goals to increase hiring rates of women and employees from underrepresented ethnic groups and discovered surprising benefits to the company. Candice Morgan, Head of Inclusion & Diversity at Pinterest has been invited by the U.S. Embassy Berlin on a speaker tour to share Pinterest’s findings and facilitate a discussion on the benefits of a diverse workforce.

Before Candice Morgan came to Pinterest, she worked for the consulting and market research company Catalyst for ten years. Morgan designed company strategies on diversity, led conferences on inclusion, and helped various organizations improve their gender and ethnicity standards.
