In our first episode of “On The Record”, we talk to Julianne (“Julie”) Smith, Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security, who is currently serving as a Weizsäcker Fellow at the Bosch Academy in Berlin. She served as the Deputy National Security Advisor to the Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden, from 2012-2013. Shortly before the Midterm elections, she speaks about the discontent of many Americans with the elites in Washington, about President Trump’s foreign policy and the future of NATO.
