The Kensington Treaty, signed by Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Chancellor Friedrich Merz in July 2025, marked a new era in German-UK relations following the 2024 Trinity Agreement. The „Treaty on Friendship and Bilateral Cooperation“ builds on shared security concerns and significantly strengthens defense, economic, and diplomatic ties.
The Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) will host us for two sessions on economic security and defense financing. With experts in their respective fields, we will focus on the role of public-private partnerships in economic security and on removing the barriers that discourage the private sector from investing in defense.
This event is part of a two-day event series with the German Embassy London and the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI). You can find the first event, “Reception at the German Embassy”, on January 26, 2026, in our Upcoming Events overview.
We look forward to welcoming you to this special event.
