The program for Young Leaders from both sides of the Atlantic is one of Atlantik-Brücke’s most successful projects. The German-American Young Leaders Conference offers participants the opportunity to intensively discuss current transatlantic topics during a week of plenary sessions and working groups. Leading public figures are invited to join the group as guest speakers.
How does one become a Young Leader?
At the beginning of the year, potential candidates between the ages of 28 and 35, and who have been nominated by Young Leaders alumni or members of the Atlantik-Brücke, are asked to submit an application. 25 German and 25 American candidates are selected as Young Leaders with the help of a steering committee.
Young Leaders should:
• demonstrate leadership in their professional life
• engage actively in their community alongside their professional responsibilities
• have proven interest in transatlantic topics
